And the warriors of the Middle Ages, while on campaigns, ate wine soup - more precisely, they were pieces of bread soaked in wine.

The inhabitants of France are considered the biggest lovers of the first course. In the Middle Ages, French peasants ate soup twice a day (although they may well have had no other options).

PACKED.

Closer to our time, at the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century, soup concentrates were invented. Their homeland is the USA, and the first dry soup was created by the Joseph Campbell Canning Company. Salt, cook for 3 minutes, turn off and let stand under the lid for 2 minutes. Lightly fry the bread in butter, sprinkle it with the rest of the cheese and cover the pan with a lid for a couple of minutes so that the cheese melts a little. Put the hot croutons on plates and pour the soup around. Decorate with herbs and serve immediately so that the croutons do not get wet.
