  • press the knee to the chest for 7-10 seconds;

Uttanpadasana - involves raising the legs. People with pathologies of the spinal column should abandon this position. Execution order:

  • lie on your back, stretch your arms along the body, palms look at the floor, legs are straight, closed;
  • take a deep breath and hold your breath for a few seconds. At this time, raise the left leg by 20–25 cm and hold for 5 seconds, lower it, with each subsequent approaches increase the holding time by 1 second (the recommended number of approaches for each leg is 4–5);
  • change legs and repeat the exercise.

Santulanasana - Requires the following steps:

  • put a blanket on the floor, stand straight on it, look straight ahead, relax your hands (it is better to be near the wall so that there is support if it is difficult to keep on one leg);
  • stand on your left leg, bend your right at the knee so that the heel is as close as possible to the buttocks;
  • with your right hand completely wrap your toes and pull your leg to your thigh;
  • then, strain your left hand, slowly lifting it up with your palm to the floor, when lifting it up, push your palm up;
  • hold in this position for 7-10 seconds, keep the left leg and arm in tension, breathing should be even;
  • smoothly lower the left hand without relieving tension;
  • put your right foot on the floor;
  • take a break for 8 seconds and do it all over again with the other leg.

Yoga therapy will not hurt to carry out all patients, regardless of age category and the presence of other pathologies. The main benefit of exercising is that blood pressure returns to normal. With hypertension, it decreases, and with hypotension, it increases.

Yoga includes many different asanas that are able to influence the human body in their own way. However, despite the compatibility of hypertension and yoga, some postures are not acceptable for such a disease and can significantly harm a person's condition.

If the patient has a fresh record of the operation in his medical history, it is necessary to draw up a simplified training program on an individual basis. In case of diseases of the joints, bones and the spinal column, it is necessary to deal with very carefully and carefully.

In case of violations of the heart, it is worth refraining from numerous repetitions and paying more attention to breathing exercises. Having a pathology of the legs, it is better to give up asanas performed in a standing position. And gastrointestinal diseases exclude exercises with inclinations.

Exercises that awaken the nervous system are considered harmful for hypertension. This includes:

  • breathing exercises Bhastrika, which requires short, sharp breaths and exhalations, such breathing increases intracranial pressure;
  • strong deflections and prolonged stay in one position should be excluded;
  • dynamic actions that involve double stress on the body and organism are very unsafe.

If at the time of yoga class there is an increased heartbeat and rapid pulse, the face takes on a red tint, you should stop training. You need to lie on a flat surface, take breaths in and out with the involvement of the abdominal muscles. When carrying a child, it is allowed to perform simple exercises, however, you should first consult with your doctor.

Is a good tool to gradually move away from the use of pills, since they only eliminate the symptoms, not the cause of the disease, and, in addition, create unwanted side effects.

High blood pressure (BP) does not occur overnight or even over a month. Usually years pass before, in the absence of a hereditary predisposition to high blood pressure, hypertension appears.

Similarly, the treatment of hypertension is not limited to weeks and months. A hypertensive patient needs to be prepared for the fact that pressure treatment can last for years with varying success. Sometimes you have to spend your whole life to overcome the disease, constantly maintaining yourself in the appropriate shape.

And first of all, with hypertension, you should exclude from your diet foods that increase blood pressure:

  • products containing caffeine in significant quantities (strong tea, coffee, cocoa);
  • spicy, salty, smoked foods and dishes, canned food, spices;
  • fatty foods (fatty meats, fish, fish oil, solid fats, ice cream);
  • muffins, cakes, pastries, primarily with butter cream;
  • most offal (kidneys, liver, brains);
  • alcoholic drinks.
  • Wake up early in the morning and follow a well-balanced program of activity and relaxation throughout the day. This will help reduce blood pressure and keep it within the normal range.
  • You need proper sleep.
  • Avoid drinking coffee, tea, do not smoke.
  • Substitute animal fats vegetable oil, avoid eating foods that are high in cholesterol. A tablespoon of honey can be included in the diet. Reduce your salt intake.
  • Avoid stress, emotional distress, overtime work, strong emotional reactions, because they affect the vegetative system and increase blood pressure.
  • Changing your environment and lifestyle, as well as reducing its speed will have a positive effect on your condition.
  • Since being overweight and high blood pressure often go together, try to keep your weight down, in which case regular exercise, diet, physical therapy, and fasting every two weeks will be very beneficial.
  • Do not take tranquilizers or sedatives (unless strictly prescribed by your doctor), as they lead to unpleasant side effects... can be a good substitute for tranquilizers.
  • Hypertensive patients should avoid vigorous manual labor, which can include lifting and carrying weights. Exercises that require abrupt efforts or supportive efforts should be avoided, including all sports where increased (tense) breathing occurs, which leads to an increase in pressure.

Hypertensive patients can do regular and moderate yoga exercises without feeling tired, but they should avoid inverted asanas and forward bends below the lumbar level, as they increase blood flow to the head. If the pressure is constantly high, interrupt the asanas and do only Shavasana until the pressure stabilizes and returns to normal.

The following yoga asanas will help normalize blood pressure: Makarasana, Matsyasana, Vajrasana, Padmasana, Ardha Padmasana, diaphragmatic breathing, Anuloma Viloma pranayama (without holding the breath).

Practicing Shavasana daily will lower blood glucose and immune serum (lipid) levels, providing good rest and stress relief.

Practice Vajrasana for 10 minutes after each meal and avoid overeating.

Practicing diaphragmatic breathing daily will help reduce high blood pressure of unknown etiology (general hypertension). Heredity is the main factor behind this type of hypertension.
