Laptop overheating

Viruses in the system

The more programs you run on your laptop, the slower it will run. Sometimes we ourselves do not pay attention to how many different applications are running. Press the key combination WIN + R on the keyboard and in the running program Run enter the msconfig command.

If you have Windows 7, then here you will see a list of all the programs that run with the laptop. And if you have Windows 8 or 10, then you still need to click the link " Open task manager". In this window, sometimes there are several dozen programs that, in addition to slowing down the startup of the system, also slow down the laptop during operation. So it turns out that the laptop slows down due to workload random access memory and processor. Remove the checkmarks from those programs that are not needed to work immediately after Windows starts.
Please note that there may be names of programs unknown to you. Do not rush to remove this program from startup. First of all, use the search engine and read the description of this program. Then draw your own conclusions!
After removing unnecessary programs from startup, it remains to apply the changes and restart the laptop.
Not enough space on the system drive
If the system drive on which Windows is installed is packed to capacity, then this can also be the cause of the laptop's unstable operation. I advise you to free up disk space using the following methods:
Littered registry
From all the trash - an important step towards the stable operation of the laptop. If you often install and remove programs, then the number of unnecessary entries in the registry grows greatly, and this affects the work. If you don't want to wonder from time to time, why laptop slows down and what to do, then remember to clean the registry.
You can clean the registry by clicking a few buttons in the free program CCleaner. Download, install and run.
Open the Registry tab and click Check for Issues.
Found entries need to be corrected and the operation repeated a couple of times.
6. Not enough RAM
Right-click on the Computer section and select Properties.
In the window that opens, find the line Installed memory. It shows the amount of RAM on our computer.
If you have 2 gigabytes or even less, then this can cause programs to run slowly, suddenly close, or even freeze. Ideally, you need to increase the amount of RAM to 4 gigabytes by buying one or two memory sticks. After the analysis is complete, you can start defragmenting. Right-click on the disk again and select the next item Defragmentation.
This procedure is not fast. It can last for several minutes or several hours.
Laptop is very weak
If your laptop slows down, then you can speed it up by following all the above steps. I just want to say that this not a solution to all problems, especially if you have the cheapest and weakest laptop. Do not run a lot of programs, make sure that the laptop does not overheat, do not litter it with rubbish and remove viruses at the slightest danger. This will be the basic rules for the more or less stable operation of a weak laptop.

You can deal with the problem with any antivirus program, but it is recommended to use something different from what you currently have installed. Just do not forget before installing a new antivirus, uninstall the previous one. We do a full scan of the system and remove viruses. If suddenly the antivirus can not cope. The more such files, the more noticeably the speed of the laptop decreases.
The defragmentation process will clean up the hard drive. In some cases, the speed of the system can increase by 50% or more. Windows already has this feature. The easiest way is to type the “defrag” command on the command line and press “Enter”, then select the disk partitions that need to be defragmented. There are also many third-party programs that do the job just as well. For normal defragmentation, partitions must have at least 15% free space. It is advisable to carry out the defragmentation process at least 1-2 times a month.
Today, a laptop is an extremely popular device, which is preferred by more and more users, even replacing their home desktop computers. However, over time, even a very powerful laptop starts to work more slowly, which can result, for example, in a very long boot at system startup.
The causes of the problem of a long system boot can be divided into two types - hardware and software. In the first case, problems with the hardware of the laptop can affect the system boot, and in the second case, the software is to blame.
