I, too, was caught at one time on this bait. About 10 years ago, I decided to learn how to read Lenormand cards. I dug up a bunch of books, sites and forums where terabytes of information on fortune-telling on this deck were laid out. And she began to study it all in good faith.

But since by that time I already knew how to guess well on ordinary cards, I quickly realized that I had taken on an overwhelming task. One source says one thing, another says something completely different, and the third says something diametrically opposite to the first and second. I found out that among several hundred layouts that I came across, there were really few really sensible and logical ones.

What guided the compilers of these layouts - for me personally, remained a complete mystery. The names of positions in the layout often duplicate each other, or are worded in such a way that it is completely unclear how to interpret the card in relation to this position. And one more circumstance on which my brain was hanging tight - I, "like an honest Vasya" quite sincerely read that if there is this position in the alignment, then it is absolutely necessary to put a card on it and somehow "fasten" it to this alignment.

It was only later, in my next (paid) course, where, among other things, we studied the topic of “how to create your own layout”, I realized that today only the lazy does not create Tarot layouts, and calls this gibberish “the author's layout”. This does not mean at all that all the layouts posted on the Internet and described in the literature are mindlessly useless. Of course not. But when you are a very, very, very newbie, and there is no experience or skills, how do you know what the alignment is in front of you? Is it worth paying any attention to him at all?

And there is no one to ask. You might argue that you can ask a question on some esoteric forum. I also naively believed that the forums are a salvation in such situations. In fact, it turned out that most of the "inhabitants" of such forums are just as inept. Only I understand that I am incompetent, and they consider themselves almost Guru from fortune-telling on cards.
