In general, everything was quite balanced.
However, the period of equilibrium did not last long.
Soon, Apple introduced a radical confusion to this alignment, and twice: in 2007, when Steve Jobs introduced the first iPhone to the world, and in 2010, when the iPad went on sale.
A real one happened, which changed not only the markets, but also the outlook of the mass user, who now receives and sends information in a completely different way, consumes media content and plays electronic games. Today everyone has smartphones and tablets, and if someone else did not have time to acquire any of these devices, they are undoubtedly going to buy it in the near future.
Many manufacturers of gaming electronics are also well aware of the growth in the spread of mobile devices and are very successful in taking advantage of the moment, offering gamers relevant and useful solutions. So Microsoft, literally a few days after the start of Xbox One sales, quickly released a mobile application with which users can connect their smartphones and tablets to new console and access its various functions.
If you already own an Xbox 360 (if not, we recommend that you consider buying, since the prices for these consoles are currently extremely attractive - here), then you are obviously already familiar with SmartGlass.
The program allows you to use the console interface from a mobile device, launch games, various applications and social functions, in particular, view your achievements, read messages, etc.
Of course, the newer SmartGlass for Xbox One is slightly different from SmartGlass for Xbox 360, in the sense that it should be faster, more stable, since, according to Microsoft, the Xbox One was originally designed with SmartGlass in mind.
The SmartGlass app for Xbox One can be downloaded to mobile devices running Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Windows 8 and Windows RT. More precisely, the program works with smartphones and tablets on Android 4.0 and higher, Windows Phone 7.5 and higher, as well as iPhones from 3GS and all others, 4th generation iPod Touch players and iPad tablets.
To connect a smartphone and / or tablet to Xbox One, you must first make sure that both the mobile device and the console itself are connected to the same local network, then open SmartGlass on the mobile device and then just click the "Connect" button, after which the program will show console on screen.
If this does not happen, then you need to double-check the connection of the Xbox One and the smartphone (or tablet) to the network, and then click Connect again.
If you fail to connect again, you will have to go to the application settings and enter the console IP address manually (you can find it in the console settings - Network section, Advanced Settings tab.
What does SmartGlass do?
Well, in fact, after connecting to Xbox One via SmartGlass, a smartphone or tablet automatically turns into a full-featured wireless gaming device with the familiar control buttons - A, B, X and Y, and at the same time a remote control. You can configure SmartGlass in the following way:
- Go to the Xbox Console Settings.

The devices between which the connection takes place (console - tablet or phone) must be connected to Xbox Live.

Xbox One comes with either a 500-gigabyte (GB) or a 1-terabyte (TB) internal hard drive.
