Read, read, and don't say you haven't read ...

In the distant kingdom, distant lands, in ancient times, but not entirely prehistoric, there lived three heroes-comrades, three electronic entities.

Here they are - in their strong armor! And why didn't one of the heroes take off his armor at all? No, he is not shy. It's just that this is the whole intrigue and, reading the epic, you can find out what the face of the hero is. So listen further.

The first hero, the eldest, was called Ilya of Murom ... ugh, it just went into a fairy tale, and this is an epic! The first and the older Explay MU220 were magnified. Here is such a heroic name. This fellow had, though not outstanding, but a strong and dense physique, and in the old fashioned preferred button control, pretending to be a felt boot, barely hearing the foreign word "sensor". At the table - to dine, refuel - the hero did not sit down often, even rarely - once a week, and this is not surprising, because he was an interpreter: he practically did nothing, only talked and wrote letters. Yes, he still loved to sing songs, since his voice was loud, although not very musical.

The second hero - Digma idj7 - in comparison with the first, had a physique more befitting heroes, he was not fond of songs and fables, but he loved to do a little bit of everything: then, lying on a couch, he leafs through a booklet, looks at pictures; then the enemies of the game will muddle, or help the evil birds to help green pigs and harmless ones to offend (that's what the pigs have done to him, is it really a racist - does not accept the green color of the skin?); then films and cartoons are on the lookout for nothing to do. Tokmo was not fascinated by any occupation for a long time by the hero Digma, because the hero was gluttonous beyond measure: he could not live without a nutritious electrical substance for any length of time.

Well, the third hero, the youngest, but not Alyosha Popovich, but Sony PRS-T2. Well-known bookie. Clever, contagious, even from Russian into Basurmansky - Aglitsky - he knew how to translate words. The ascetic bogatyr led the way of life, he read and read everything, and he consumed food, giving new strength, very moderately - once a month, or even less often. Between themselves, the other two heroes called their comrade "inkwell".

And so three heroes lived: one of them read all interesting and informative books, the second led decent conversations, and the third did the rest. By the way, Digma was also able to address the world mind and receive answers to various questions, but for this he needed a magic talisman - the USB-modem is called.

However, their life was not calm for long - trouble came, the hero Digma fell ill. His stomach got sick: he was just eating away, and after half an hour he had no strength, he had to sit down at the table again. The heroes turned to a folk healer, and a healer helped them, although he did such a complicated operation for the first time: he tore out a sick stomach completely, but he soldered ... ugh, sewed a new stomach with surgical threads, even better than the old one, a trophy - borrowed from another hero Jiayu G3 ...

It seems that the former carefree life has returned, but something was alarming to the heroes-comrades. And the attack did not keep you waiting: with the eyesight of the same hero, Digma, something happened. He did not become color blind, but the red color ceased to exist for him. Sony and Explay take a look at it and the faces turn back from a poisonous mixture of green and blue, and they were told that RGB is still better than GB without R. But here the doctor could not help anything, and the heroes put up with this.

But the villainous fate finally took offense at them for something: somehow (or once) the heroes Explay and Sony returned from another patrol in their territories, and they saw that their comrade was lying beaten and crippled on the damp earth. They ask him, and he broadcasts to them, they say, the enemies attacked him in a huge number and he beat them almost all, but he did not master the latter and the reptile leaked, and finally gave the hero Digma a valiant blow to the hero's head. But in fact, Digma stumbled out of the blue and hit his head so unsuccessfully that he broke his whole green-blue face, and even got a concussion, apparently.

The heroes are sad, but there is nothing to do, according to the content of the epic, there should be three heroes, but with the hero Digma, it turns out that you cannot cook porridge and you cannot go to reconnaissance. They identified - Sony and Explay - their comrade in the military in a monastery for the elderly and the well-deserved, and they began to think hard about how they should now correct the shortage in their company. And then (finally!) Fate gave them a gift (although this is from which side to look): the dandy Samsung 3 Lite SM-T 110 asked for them. All of himself well done, okay, strong, bright face (some constantly refer to AMOLED, showing off).

The newcomer turned out to be twice as strong as the retired hero, his memory and article were stronger, and his brain was double in comparison with Digma. Samsung began to fulfill all those duties that Digma had on its shoulders, and succeeded in everything (well, in almost everything). Samsung does everything better, prettier, attentive and helpful.

But the new hero turned out to be uncommunicative. No, well, not quite, of course, deaf and dumb, but a little flawed in terms of communications; that is, he will always share a waffle with friends, or rather ask for himself, and he has a blue tooth, but that's all. In principle, he does not let anyone into his inner world (unless, after long shamanic dances with a tambourine, he agrees to open the curtain of his internal device), he only allows him to look at the world around him with his eyes, more precisely with his eye (yes, he has one eye!). Well, there is no way to talk at all. It just doesn't. Potentially, this hero does not know how to use witchcraft amulets and talismans, called SIM cards. And in general he did not perceive any amulets, talismans and amulets, even if they were hung around his neck on a special chain - he also did not own the OTG spell.

But on the ground, the hero SM-T 110 navigates just excellently! He knows how to communicate both with the spirits of the GPS world and with the ghostly inhabitants of the GLONASS world. And the spirits tell him where is the north, and where is even the east, and where is Marshal Zhukov Avenue. Even in a completely unfamiliar area, the SM-T 110 will know all directions in a minute or two.

And Samsung has good visual memory, images can be imprinted and stored in memory (only that images are almost always fuzzy).

And the hero Samsung turned out to be temperamental and quick-tempered. Literally hot-tempered. As he gets carried away with some interesting and complex business, so literally in front of his eyes the temperature rises above normal, like a fever patient. Here the hero begins to dull. He needs to rest, therefore, he needs to take a breath, and in a few minutes he can go back into battle.

Well, how can you not mention the gluttony of Samsung, but he eats in three belly and in three throats! Okay, that was a joke. The hero's appetite is all right, but he also spends the received strengths quite rationally and in moderation.

In general, the bogatyrs became friends, became friends, again healed together, each performing his own service.

On this, we will leave the artistic side of the review alone and proceed to deciphering the above. First of all, let's open the cards, that is, "performance characteristics in the studio!".

Here they are - heroes! But in fact, I want to talk about only one of them - about the Samsung tablet. I would like to understand, is the Samsung 3 Lite SM-T 110 good or bad? So, pay attention to the screen.

I got this tablet at the end of 2014 after the unfortunate incident with its predecessor - Digma idj7. The predecessor fell from a two-meter-high cabinet and unsuccessfully hit his face, excuse me, with a screen on the corner of the aforementioned cabinet; as a result, the screen is not suitable for use, and repairing this miracle is not cost-effective, it is easier to buy a new miracle. Do you remember how prices soared at the end of last year? Well, I looked into the buy-up store. He is one in our town and specializes in the repair and purchase of various technical and electronic products, ranging from refrigerators and ending with flash drives. It was there that I saw a Samsung tablet for three thousand three hundred rubles in a perfectly new condition in the factory complete set and in a wood-like box.

There is no SIM support - well, okay, I'm not going to call it, and I don't need the Internet on my tablet. I did not look at the reviews of the device before buying: I turned it on in the store, looked at the screen - it was not bad, and bought it. And now I have been using the tablet for almost two months and, in principle, am satisfied with it. But first things first.

Since my family loves to read, and the reader is in full use of my beloved wife, my tablet is mainly used as a book. Occasionally I play, and even less often I use navigation. Consequently, a tablet with a normal screen, a dual-core processor, a gigabyte of RAM and eight gigs of permanent memory is enough for my eyes. I need navigation on long-distance tourist or business trips several times a year.

Memory for work (operational) - 1 gigabyte - is enough for this tablet. Memory for storage (permanent) - 8 gigabytes - is also enough, I only inserted a memory card to test it.

    Screen

Even though it's Samsung, the screen is never AMOLED. According to the documentation, the tablet is equipped with a TN-matrix with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, which in this particular case gives a density of 169 dpi. For myself, I concluded that the screen is not bad. The minimum brightness level is exactly the minimum in the full sense of the word: in the dark, the screen does not dazzle and it is quite comfortable to read, but to do anything else is too dark. The maximum is a little less than an acceptable level, and you can see the information on the screen in the sun, but there is no talk about comfortable work. Since there is no light sensor, there is no automatic brightness control. Here are examples of pictures on the screen at 100 percent brightness and the same pictures at 25 percent brightness:

Color saturation is quite in the spirit of Samsung - above average, which is not a disadvantage for a tablet. Individual pixels on the screen can be easily discerned with the naked eye, but only those who want to dump a wheelbarrow of dirt on this device will do this.

I considered pixels only as part of researching the capabilities and characteristics of the tablet for the purpose of writing this review. Moreover, when working with a tablet, these same pixels are not striking, no ladders are observed in the fonts, and you can even improve font smoothing in the settings.

The matrix itself is covered, most likely, with a glass plate with an air gap. This is my conclusion based on empirical observations. As for the layer, it can be seen with the same naked eye, and where does OGS come from in a low-budget device? With regard to glass, everything is somewhat ambiguous. The manufacturer itself does not claim anything like that, but! For two months I have been carrying the tablet in my bag along with all sorts of other things, and there is still not a single scratch on the screen! The screen protector is present as much as the scratches - it just isn't there. But on the case, several scratches and abrasions have already appeared. A serious disadvantage of the screen is the lack of anti-reflective coating: any light source tends to be reflected on the tablet screen, making it as difficult as possible to perceive the information displayed on the screen.

The last photo shows an interesting effect: the camera focused not on the tablet (the distance from the lens to the tablet is about half a meter), but on the chandelier reflected in the tablet screen (the focal length is more than two meters). You can probably use this tablet for 3D photography with a little practice.

The matte protective film should, in theory, fix the situation with glare and reflections, but I have not tried it.

There is no oleophobic coating, fingerprints appear almost immediately, but they can be removed quite easily not only with a specially trained cloth, but also with the sleeve of a sweater. The prints themselves, even in huge quantities, are not visible on the screen of the switched on tablet, but on the switched off one they are very noticeable.

    Another screen photo:

    Battery

The second most important characteristic for me is the battery. It has a non-removable 3600 milliampere-hour lithium-ion battery. The Digma tablet had a 3000 mAh battery smoothly and sat down quite quickly (the processor, although single-core, but gluttonous). Samsung is more rational in this respect: the dual-core Marvell PXA986 is made using the outdated 45-nm technology, but it uses up battery power sparingly. Based on the battery consumption graphs, the screen needs the most power. With a screen brightness of 30 percent, which is how comfortable I am to read, the tablet works in e-book mode for about a week (read an hour or two after work). At full load, the tablet does not work even for four hours; in reading mode, an average of 4-5 percent of the battery capacity is consumed per hour - quite, in my opinion, a good result.

The bundled charger is of a very decent quality. Made in Vietnam, gives out 1 amp, charges the tablet in a little more than three hours.

    Appearance

Also, I will take the appearance and tactile sensations from the case to the merits. It seems that there is nothing extraordinary or outstanding in it, but it is comfortable to hold it in your hands and that's it. The bottom surface of the case does not slip, and, despite the weight of 310 grams, the tablet is in no hurry to slip out of your hands. The dark blue color of the plastic is in good harmony with the black bezels of the screen. Like many things in this device, there is no backlighting of the hardware buttons "Menu" (left) and "Back" (right), but the buttons are painted with white paint and are perfectly visualized in the daytime, and later you get used to their location. The central button - mechanical - is framed with a silver frame, it is pressed easily, sometimes even very easily.

The power and volume buttons are located on the right side, the memory card slot is on the left. On the top there is a miniUSB port and a headphone jack. The bottom edge proudly brings a microphone to our attention. Yes, there is a microphone here. There is no special need for it, but it is there. The "Sound meter" program works flawlessly.

    Navigation

In addition to GPS, the Samsung 3 Lite SM-T 110 also received GLONASS support, which could not but affect the positioning accuracy. I use Navitel version 7.0.0.176 as a navigator. I can't compare navigation with the old tablet, because it didn't smell there, so I will compare the Samsung 3 Lite SM-T 110 with a Chinese smartphone based on the MTK Lenovo A378T processor.

This smart has a GPS, it is also believed that MediaTek processors are not very friendly with navigation. Is it so? My subjective opinion: yes, it is! Lenovo found 4 satellites during a cold start in 3-4 minutes. With the next connections, the number of satellites did not change, only once there were already 9 of them! And the positioning accuracy and speed, though not awesome, leaves much to be desired.

Samsung has a different picture, and it seems to me that there are two explanations for this: firstly, the Marvell PXA986 chip (I apologize for the wrong terminology: either a processor, or a chip ... you and I know that it is actually correct to say soc, but breaking it down into a processor, video, etc. is somehow more familiar and intelligible) is better suited for navigation than MediaTek MT6572 in Lenovo A378T, and secondly, GLONASS support is GLONASS support. And immediately there is confidence for navigation in the future, and the presence of additional satellites is also an undoubted advantage.

So, a cold start on 3 Lite SM-T 110 takes one and a half to two minutes, after which we have stable 13-14 satellites. I am not strong in navigation theory, but I know that 4 satellites are needed for unambiguous positioning, and the more satellites, the more accurate and faster the positioning. Samsung, in comparison with Lenovo, determines its location more accurately and faster and makes less mistakes.

What else? Wi-Fi works flawlessly, Bluetooth too. I'll tell you about synchronization with a computer separately a little later.

Thus, I will attribute the screen, battery, appearance and navigation to the advantages of the tablet. What about his shortcomings? They are completely absent!

Joke. How without flaws - I have them, that is, the tablet. I do not have.

First, there is a lack of support for external devices. I connected both flash drives and a USB modem to my old tablet via an OTG cable. Very comfortably. Here, according to Samsung's incomprehensible logic, this is not the case.

Secondly, synchronization with a computer only via Wi-Fi, through a miniUSB lanyard, the tablet is not only not recognized as a drive, but it is not even charged. Through the miniUSB port, the tablet is defined either as a multimedia device (allows you to transfer multimedia files to a PC), or as a camera (PTP). Personally, in order to upload any files to a Samsung tablet, I use the following methods: if the file is small, then I upload it from the PC via miniUSB to the Explay MU220, and transfer it from the phone via Bluetooth to the tablet; if the file is large, then I copy it to the phone (to the memory card), and then insert the memory card from the phone into the tablet. None of the methods are ever convenient, but what can you do. And not so often you have to do this.

Third, the camera. The camera is one, rear, two-megapixel, without flash and autofocus. Pictures are obtained (even the word "obtained" is of little use here) of poor quality even in good lighting conditions, lack of brightness and saturation. By definition, there can be no detail at two megapixels. Yes, even when you are in the free (or paid, but affordable) Wi-Fi zone, you will not be able to use the camera for Skype, since it is not front-facing. Only gets in the way.

Fourth, the buttons. I have already mentioned that the central button is easy to press and accidental pressing is possible. So, accidental pressing of the power button is even more possible, which often happens to me. I will not say that this is a big problem, but sometimes it is annoying.

Fifth, the lack of support for 3G in particular and SIM in general. This is a minus, but for me it is not at all critical. I'm not going to use a tablet for telephone conversations - for this there is a phone that suits me perfectly, and I don't need 3G either - it would be better to have OTG support.

Sixth, the Samsung 3 Lite SM-T 110 is warming up. Maybe this is my particular copy so easily excited, because there was no mention of heating in the reviews of other owners of this device. During normal operation, the tablet practically does not heat up, but under load, especially in games, something in its body heats up to 40-43 degrees Celsius. Heating is not that strong, it practically does not cause discomfort, and in winter you can also get warm. But the sensor starts to dull a little when it heats up, or maybe the system itself; But the fact is that not every finger movement is perceived by the sensor when the tablet heats up. Well, again, everything is learned in comparison: Digma idj7 did not warm up at all, but the sensor slowed down almost constantly. I did a stability test in AnTuTu, and this is what happened:

There are suspicions that the battery is heating up, but only an autopsy can unambiguously show this.

As everyone has probably already noticed, I lack OTG support and normal synchronization with a PC in this tablet.

What features do I use and which ones I don’t? From the above, everything is already clear. I often use my tablet as an e-book, rarely as a navigator. I don't use my tablet camera at all. Again, I plan to use the tablet for Internet access only when traveling, subject to a Wi-Fi network. Also, I do not use Samsung's proprietary launcher - which is TouchWiz; I do not like it, and it works somehow slowly. I installed the launcher built into Android 4.2.2, it suits me completely. The lock screen and settings remain from Samsung.

This complex electronic device did not have to be repaired and, I hope, will not. Moreover, it is a device that is not collapsible, the primus itself cannot be repaired. But regarding the buggy troubles, I can provide one fact. True, I am solely to blame for this trouble, but nevertheless, I will not be silent.

It all started with my irrepressible curiosity. I bought a smart Lenovo A378T in China through the Aliexpress trading platform, and it came already rooted (thanks to the kind neighbors on the eastern border of the country). And then there is some kind of Samsung without Root. Disorder! Google, as always, did not remain indifferent to my problems and issued a whole heap of links to articles with recommendations for obtaining Root rights on this tablet. And so I downloaded TWRP Recovery for Samsung 3 Lite SM-T 110, installed TWRP on the tablet, installed UPDATE-SuperSU through TWRP, rebooted, and ... and everything worked out!

This is how I do not need these rights, but this is a matter of principle. I removed the Samsung built-in applications and forgot about this Root. And TWRP tormented it - a few days later I made a backup of the system. Then I just climbed into TWRP, then I got tired of it, rebooted the tablet ... And it loads again in TWRP Recovery mode. The trouble ... As soon as I tortured him, everything turned out to be useless. Loads in either Downloading mode or TWRP mode.

I downloaded the program for flashing Samsung devices - it's called Odin. With its help, I uploaded all kinds of Recovery to the tablet - both TWRP and CWM, nothing helped. I had to download the firmware to the tablet and use Odin to reflash. The flashing only affected the internal memory, the user section remained intact. And again on a well-trodden track: installing TWRP, getting Root, rebooting. Until now, everything works and does not glitch.

In confirmation of the successful receipt of Root rights, the following screen:

I can compare this tablet - Samsung 3 Lite SM-T 110 - only with the Digma idj7 tablet and the Lenovo A378T smartphone. What can I say here: in almost everything Samsung is better than Digma (remember OTG); and comparing a tablet with a smartphone is not entirely correct, but still: Lenovo has a better screen, a launcher, too, a smart camera, although inferior, is better than that of the hero of the review. But books are better read on a tablet, and navigation is at its best.

In general, the tablet gets an honest 5 out of 10, and taking into account my requirements for it, and all 8 points. Why is that? Yes, because if you evaluate it objectively, and even take into account its cost in stores, then this is just a failed model. And 5 points to him are still a lot. This is bad. And for the amount of about three thousand rubles, I received a tablet that suits me in almost all respects. And this is good! And I wish you the same and more health!

We have two such tablets in our house!)) They were bought for my mother and for the girl, but I liked it so much that one of them turned out to be common!

Those who paid attention to Samsung tablets know that they did not work for the budget segment, the cheapest models went from 2300 and above. (8000 rubles), but this year they decided to cover a lower price range, simplifying several models, and thereby reducing their cost. Thus, a line of Lite tablets appeared, I am familiar with the representatives of T110 and T111, the difference between them is only in 3G, in t110 it is not. And since he is not needed by any of us, we chose him. Yes, how do these tablets differ from their more expensive counterparts - the battery is a little weaker and no front camera... The rear panel coating has also changed, if on more expensive models it is made of glossy plastic, then here it is a matte soft-touch coating, under the skin. For me, this option is better than gloss on such a device.

Now about the tablet in more detail.

Design. The saboy itself, since it was bought for the fair sex, bought a model in white, but for myself I would take a white one too! Looks very stylish and expensive! The Back and Contest menu keys are placed on the panel under the screen, they are touch-sensitive, the Home key is located between them, it is mechanical. This solution distinguishes the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T110 from other Android tablets. At first I was not used to it, now I'm used to it, it is quite satisfying.

Screen. Diagonal 7 ", resolution 1024x600. Capacitive. The image is clear, the brightness is enough, even in the sun the screen remains quite readable, although of course it fades. Some complain about insufficient color saturation, I don’t know ... for me, quite saturated colors. Maybe on a laptop or TV. found fault with something, for a tablet perfectly.

Sound. One speaker, but very loud. At least it will be comfortable to watch a movie without headphones in a not very noisy room. No whistles or wheezes were noticed.

Wi-Fi catches perfectly, even with one division does not slow down anything.

Camera. Purely symbolic, 2MP, like on an inexpensive mobile phone. Well, I tried to photograph the text, everything is perfectly readable. But do not count on high-quality pictures like from a good camera. For me, in general, a camera is not particularly needed in a tablet, claims to it are even annoying. It's like building a camera into a laptop and expecting the quality of a DSLR ... There is and is, you can take a picture of something on the case, but for photo sessions with a company it is better to use a special technique.

    Battery... Battery capacity 3600 mAh Time battery life (h) 9 (Internet) / 8 (video) / 200 (audio)

When buying, they were charged by 55%, yesterday they used 4 hours and today 2 hours, burst into flames only up to 29%. Such results are pleasing to me, it is enough for me to have enough from morning till night for reading, the Internet and films.

Equipment... unpretentious, not rich. YUSB cable and network adapter. Headphones, protective film and case are not included. That is, there was a protective film only as a packaging element. Fully covering the screen with a black rectangle with inscriptions.

Power. Dual-core processor 1.2ghz, 1gb random access memory... Well, for our requirements is enough with the head. Reading, internet, movies, no brakes. NSF starts up, doesn't seem to slow down. But I don't often play on my computer either, on the tablet I think games are also something superfluous. It's inconvenient to play something serious, but shooting at strawberries or catching mice on the screen seems to me a pointless exercise ... But if someone needs it, this tablet will master it!

By the way, the video for some reason plays without sound, writes about some problems with the codecs. If you dig, I think you can fix it, I just downloaded another program - MX Player, and at the top I chose the Software decoder instead of the hardware one, the sound appeared. Everything is very simple.

I have not bought the cover yet, but I will attribute the feature of the covers to the disadvantages - they are wildly expensive! The simplest of the relatives - from 250 UAH, if prettier then 300-350 (1200-1500r), although there is nothing special about them, rubber and plastic. We pay for beauty and brand! We wanted to buy something cheaper from universal ones - this tablet looks like a white rose in dung in them! He is still worthy of his own cover, repeating its shape and style. So you still have to fork out.

Headphones also need to be purchased separately if you don't have them.

The film cost 100 UAH, not native, the panel with buttons turned out to be without a film, for me it is not critical. If you want a native film that completely repeats the location of the buttons, then get ready that it will be difficult to find and it will cost two to three times more expensive than the universal one.

Just pictures of the tablet from all sides))

In general, that's all, no special flaws have yet been revealed, some advantages!))

To be honest, I believe that the only successful tablet from the Galaxy Tab 3 line is the Tab 3 8.0, while the rest of the models are almost identical to the previous generation, but they are more expensive.

    Appearance, materials, controls, assembly

This is a typical device from Samsung - traditionally very little attention has been paid to the design of devices. The only element that stands out on the tablet is the rounded edges, but many companies use this solution.

The main material used is matte plastic, most of the case, the ends of the device and the lid are made of it. By the way, the material of the back cover is made "under the skin" (for once, they decided to abandon gloss), but tactilely it feels cheaper than in the Galaxy Note 3).

Most of the front side is occupied by a seven-inch display, above it there is a mesh of the earpiece, and below it are the "Menu", "Home" and "Back" buttons.

On the right side you can see the power button and the volume rocker. Both keys have a short soft stroke, when pressed, a characteristic click is heard. It is convenient to use the buttons.

Above is a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB port.

Under the caps on the left, there are slots for a microSD memory card and a slot for a SIM card (in the version of a tablet with 3G), and at the bottom there is a microUSB connector and a microphone hole.

Behind you can see the peephole of the main camera and an external speaker.

There are no complaints about the assembly of the tablet, the device is perfectly assembled, nothing creaks, no backlash, no staggering.

    Dimensions (edit)

The dimensions of the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Lite are typical of a 7-inch device and are only slightly thicker than some of these tablets.

It is convenient to hold the device with one or two hands for a long time. If you wish, you can even grab it with one hand to talk from the tablet (it has such an option).

    Screen

The diagonal of the display is seven inches, the type of matrix is TFT-TN, the resolution is 1024x600 pixels, there is an oleophobic coating (though not as effective as on flagship devices. In the sun, the screen fades almost completely.

Samsung traditionally saves on screens in budget models, unfortunately, Tab 3 7.0 Lite is no exception. The display here is frankly bad - it is very "glare", at the slightest deviation the picture either fades or colors are inverted. The maximum brightness is also not always enough, even in a room you can periodically observe your reflection. And on top of that, the resolution is very low here. For the third generation in a row Samsung has not improved the screens in the "sevens" in any way, and this fact is very frustrating.

    Operating system

The tablet runs Android 4.2.2 with a proprietary TouchWiz interface. Samsung has traditionally completely shoveled the interface, but some of the changes are still quite convenient.

For example, I really like the proprietary curtain with switches, its own browser in TouchWiz and the pre-installed keyboard, I think that all this is implemented in TW better than in stock Android.

But the slowdowns in the interface and lurid design are the traditional disadvantages of the shell.

    Performance

The tablet is based on the Marvell PXA986 chipset with a dual-core processor operating at 1.2 GHz, a Vivante GC1000 video accelerator and 1 GB of RAM, an internal storage capacity of 8 GB (about 5 GB is available to the user), there is a slot for a memory card.

The chipset and video accelerator are frankly weak, so I do not recommend considering this tablet as a gaming tablet. On the other hand, in terms of video viewing, it perfectly "pulls" any clips in HD-resolution. In everyday use, you will notice only jerks when scrolling through the list of applications and desktops, otherwise the tablet works quite quickly.

    Autonomous work

    The tablet has a non-removable 3600 mAh Li-Ion battery.

In reading mode (brightness 10%, airplane mode on) the tablet was discharged in 18 hours! However, it has a fairly low level of brightness, so in reality these figures will be lower.

In video mode, the device was charged for 5 hours and 50 minutes (maximum brightness, "airplane mode" is on). Considering the modest battery capacity, these are excellent figures.

With daily use, you can expect 2-3 days of battery life.

    Wireless interfaces

Mobile network- the version with a 3G module works in 2G (GSM / GPRS / EDGE, 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G (900/2100 MHz) cellular networks. In addition to data transfer, you can also make calls from your tablet.

Wi-Fi (b / g / n)- in the settings you can enable "distribution" mobile internet Wi-Fi and file transfer using Wi-Fi Direct.

Bluetooth 4.0- all popular profiles are supported, including A2DP.

Gps- the module works very poorly, even worse than on MediaTek chipsets, a cold start can take more than three minutes. On the other hand, the very presence of GPS in such a budget model is already pleasing.

    Conclusion

To be honest, I didn't like this tablet at all, it saved almost everything from the screen with terrible viewing angles and low resolution to the camera and the chipset. There are, of course, strengths, to which I will attribute the battery life, excellent case materials and, in general, the convenient TouchWiz shell, but these advantages do not save the day.

For 6,000 rubles, this tablet has many competitors.

A screen with normal resolution and viewing angles (but no oleophobic coating), a quad-core processor from MediaTek and a decent (for a budget device) camera. And it costs the same 6,000 rubles.

Great screen, oleophobic coating, excellent speed and fresh updates from Google. The downside is the lack of a memory card slot. The version with 3G + 32 GB costs 9,000 rubles.

Better screen, a more powerful chipset (Intel Atom Z2580), more RAM (2 GB), costs a little less (5,300 rubles).

I don't see any reason to take the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Lite against the background of such strong competitors (except perhaps the ability to call from it). But Samsung could have made an excellent tablet, it was only necessary to install a PLS-matrix with HD-resolution, and replace the chipset with a version from Intel / MediaTek.
