The phenomenon of pop music came into our lives relatively recently - in the middle of the 20th century. Great Britain and the USA are considered his homeland. Experts attribute many different directions and styles to this genre, but for most listeners, pop today is all those performers who constantly flash on television, whose songs and names are heard on the radio and in the press.

These are, first of all, such Russian stars as: Pugacheva, Kirkorov, Valeria, Orbakaite, Leontiev; their youth counterparts like Yegor Creed, Alexei Vorobyov, Sergei Lazarev, Dima Bilan; conveyor groups like Via Gra, Silver, Factories and many others. Also, the Russian audience is familiar with Western brands like Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Rihanna.

We have already demonstrated the creativity of some performers, clearly demonstrating what they teach and what ideas their songs and videos promote. In this review, we propose to look at this sphere of mass culture in general, and assess the impact of pop music on society.

In 2012, the NTV channel aired the documentary “Pops. The Story of All-Russian Deception ", in which the producers and musicians themselves voiced information about the popularity rates in Russia: how much does it cost to rotate a song on various radio stations, how to get a music award, which business structures help various performers get promoted. The result of the transfer was the conclusion that today it is impossible to rise to the star Olympus without big finances.

Probably no one will argue that since 2012 the situation on the stage has not changed much. And this is not a stone in the garden exclusively of our country. There is no reason to believe that, for example, in the West, show business is built differently. But we will not immediately dive into the questions of who and how created such a system, but we will answer another important question - “why?”. To do this, you need to understand what effect pop music has on a wide audience.

First main point- this is that the tacitly existing financial barrier to enter show business contributes to the passage of predominantly wealthy and immoral people to the star Olympus. Why the wealthy is understandable, and why the immoral? Just because not everyone is ready to give bribes and, as they say, play around, but only those who are used to compromise with their conscience. Do you need talent? Of course, it is desirable that it was, but it is quite possible to do without it - there are more than enough examples.

It is quite natural that immoral personalities, raised on a pedestal and presented in all their splendor, become idols for a significant part of naive viewers, especially young people, and begin to broadcast their behavior models and their thoughts to the population through creativity and the way of life covered in the press, thereby imposing on society their low morals.

Since genius and villainy are incompatible, the lyrics of most songs suffer from chronic stupidity, and the lack of meaning is compensated by the abundance of writhing half-naked bodies.

And now the second main point. Since the entrance ticket to the stage is money, not talent, the whole process of creativity turns into a way of making money, and not bringing something light and beautiful into the world. In practice, this is expressed in the fact that 80 percent of all pop songs tell about the relationship between a man and a woman, and about some bizarre form of love (for such performers as Yegor Creed, the figure reaches 100 percent). And the point is not only that the feeling of love is lowered to the level of instincts and saturated with vulgarity, but that such a disproportionate amount of attention is paid to this area of human life.

This feature of pop music should be explained in more detail. Each person goes through many stages in his life: when he is born, studies, grows up, works, creates a family, brings up children, takes care of loved ones, learns the world, and so on. In this series of events and in all the diversity of life, an important place is occupied by the search for your other half and the wonderful feeling of love, which we so often hear in songs.

And this is good, this is really one of the most striking and emotionally significant events in everyone's life, but this is just one of the stages that can take 5, 10, maximum 20 percent of a person's life and thoughts, but not 80.

Should the love theme occupy such a disproportionately large place in popular culture, as pop music imposes?

In practice, the dominance of pop music with its exaggerated focus on the love sphere is one of those factors that contributes to the premature awakening of sensuality in children and adolescents. They still need to learn, grow up - and in their head, from morning to evening, they run around in a circle in the style of "Did I promise to love that one?"

If a person in adulthood remains a listener to pop music, then the constant stimulation of interest in this particular area leads to the emergence of a thirst to search for new relationships, the formation of a feeling of dissatisfaction with their other half, the absence of other interests, except for finding someone to sleep with. In fact, people who listen to pop music program themselves for regular breakups and eternal problems in their personal lives.

Let's note an important detail, the speech in the review is not about a specific song and its impact on an individual, but in general about the statistical distribution of the theme of all pop music and how it affects society. At the same time, the leading role in this process is played not by the stars themselves, but by the large media, which have the last word, whose song will go on the air, and whose song will remain under the cloth.

Fortunately, for most of the population, the Internet is gradually becoming a more important source of information than TV channels, radio and newspapers controlled by the financial oligarchy. Quite a little time will pass, and all this pseudo-elite pop will wash away like dirty foam. And in order to speed up this process, we urge you to actively spread the truth, help promote really good performers and get involved in the work to revive morality in the media.

To narrow your search results, you can refine your query by specifying the fields to search for. The list of fields is presented above. For example:

You can search by several fields at the same time:

Logical operators

The default operator is AND.
Operator AND means that the document must match all elements in the group:

research development

Operator OR means that the document must match one of the values in the group:

study OR development

Operator NOT excludes documents containing this element:

study NOT development

Search type

When writing a request, you can specify the way in which the phrase will be searched. Four methods are supported: search with morphology, without morphology, prefix search, phrase search.
By default, the search is based on morphology.
To search without morphology, just put a dollar sign in front of the words in the phrase:

$ study $ development

To search for a prefix, you need to put an asterisk after the request:

study *

To search for a phrase, you need to enclose the query in double quotes:

" research and development "

Search by synonyms

To include a word in the search results for synonyms, put a hash " # "before a word or before an expression in parentheses.
When applied to one word, up to three synonyms will be found for it.
When applied to a parenthesized expression, a synonym will be added to each word, if found.
Cannot be combined with non-morphology search, prefix search, or phrase search.

# study

Grouping

In order to group search phrases, you need to use brackets. This allows you to control the boolean logic of the request.
For example, you need to make a request: find documents whose author is Ivanov or Petrov, and the title contains the words research or development:

Approximate word search

For an approximate search, you need to put a tilde " ~ "at the end of a word from a phrase. For example:

bromine ~

The search will find words such as "bromine", "rum", "prom", etc.
You can additionally specify the maximum number of possible edits: 0, 1 or 2. For example:

bromine ~1

By default, 2 edits are allowed.

Proximity criterion

To search by proximity, you need to put a tilde " ~ "at the end of a phrase. For example, to find documents with the words research and development within 2 words, use the following query:

" research development "~2

Expression Relevance

To change the relevance of individual search terms, use the " ^ "at the end of the expression, and then indicate the level of relevance of this expression in relation to the rest.
The higher the level, the more relevant the expression is.
For example, in this expression, the word "research" is four times more relevant than the word
study ^4 development

By default, the level is 1. Allowed values are a positive real number.

Interval search

To indicate the interval in which the value of a field should be located, specify the boundary values in brackets, separated by the operator TO.
Lexicographic sorting will be performed.

Such a query will return results with an author ranging from Ivanov to Petrov, but Ivanov and Petrov will not be included in the result.
To include a value in an interval, use square brackets. Use curly braces to exclude a value.

Prepared by the Teach Good Project. The information presented in the brochure answers one of the most pressing questions of concern to most parents - what ideas are being introduced into the minds of children today through cartoons.

The work provides a psychological and pedagogical examination of such popular children's cartoons as "The Simpsons", "Family Guy", "South Park", "Winx Club", "Three Heroes", "Masha and the Bear", "Shrek" and others. It is concluded that the overwhelming majority of modern film production for children not only does not meet the simplest requirements of morality and ethics, but is also directly aimed at raising selfishness, cruelty, aggressiveness and stupidity in children.

Read, download or order a brochure

Many of you will ask: why read or know anything about bad cartoons? Firstly, these are not just bad cartoons, these are the cartoons that are shown today on television, in cinemas, and which are very familiar to most of our children. A sober assessment of the educational side of all these products allows us to understand where we are today and what goals are pursued by those who create and show such cartoons. Our correct actions begin with a correct assessment of the situation, and if we want to protect children from the harmful influence of the media, then we need to have a good idea of what this harmful influence is, and how it is implemented in practice.

The brochure is not written to say, "These cartoons are bad - don't watch them." And in order to teach parents to independently identify the educational potential of the cartoon. And learning is best done through practice. To do this, the brochure provides reviews of some of the most popular cartoons and provides an answer to a simple but important question "what do they teach?" The facts presented in the publication will leave no one in doubt that leaving a child today alone in front of the TV turned on means planting a time bomb in his mind.

Today, more and more parents come to understand that it will not be possible to completely protect a child from harmful information in the 21st century. Therefore, you need not only to lay the foundations of morality and upbringing in your children, but also to teach them to distinguish good from bad. And this is best done by your own example. If you see how dangerous or useful cartoon is, then you will be able to convey this understanding to your children.

In addition to specific examples, the brochure provides a classification of signs of harmful cartoons, which can serve as a basis for parents to make decisions about the benefits of a particular picture. And a short theoretical course that reveals the mechanism of the cartoon's effect on a child, and practical advice on how to protect him from harmful multi-effects, will help to consolidate the material covered.

And the most important thing. We live in a society, and our life directly depends on the lives of others. Therefore, no one will be able to fence themselves in with a wall and create their own piece of paradise, which means that one must not only master this knowledge on their own, but also share it with others, and also take part in the struggle against the dominance of dangerous cartoons.

The last section of the brochure answers the question, what can each of us do to change the current situation? Tell friends and acquaintances about the problem, write a letter of appeal to the authorities, conduct your own investigation, contact the heads of schools, churches, and public organizations. All this is within our power and we need to do all this. If we try to keep each of our defenses separately, we will surely lose. It is necessary to unite efforts, cooperate first at the level of our friends and relatives, then at the level of a district or city, creating conditions for a qualitative change in the situation.

You can also order a brochure on our website, and we will send it to you by mail. We will be glad to any your participation in the dissemination of this information.
