And even with a small tummy, you can tuck your top, tunic, shirt or blouse into a pencil skirt (but, provided that the fabric of the skirt is dense enough and the crumpled top of your set of clothes does not appear through it) ...

We see that the wide tunic needs to be FILLED into the pencil skirt with its FRONT SIDE. And the length of the back of the tunic should be in harmony with the length of the skirt - at best, no longer than the bottom line of the buttocks.
You can completely tuck the tunic into the skirt (as in the photo below).
And by the way about the DECOLTE it is important to say that the pencil skirt DOES NOT LOVE deep cleavage on the chest (it looks immediately vulgar). If your hips are covered, then the neckline is already too much. But if you really want a deep neckline that exposes the flesh, then let it be REAR (as in the left photo below).
WHAT to wear a BLUE pencil skirt.
Blue goes well with beige ... with shades brown. It is good to wear blue under the cool shades of light pink and lemon yellow. Emerald green or light turquoise also fits under a blue pencil skirt.
Together with a white top, a blue pencil skirt creates a fresh and smart look. And blue with black is already a heavier combination (but very popular because of its practicality and non-marking). HOW TO WEAR A PRINTED PENCIL SKIRT.
Drawing (print) on a pencil skirt is always beautiful. Such a colored skirt becomes the central spot of the entire composition - therefore, in a pair with a multi-colored skirt, you need ONLY PLAIN TOP(i.e. one color) - any color that is present in the print on the skirt.
Here in the photo below we see a black knitted tunic paired with a pencil skirt, on which there is a black color.
Pale colors on a pencil skirt call for the same calm muted color for a blouse or shirt.
Juicy contrasting colors on a pencil skirt should be supported by the same JUICE of color on the top of the set of clothes (as we see in the example of a pencil skirt with red flowers).
LEOPARD PRINT on the pencil skirt.
Classic leopard print(brown-beige warm shades like on the skin of a leopard) require either black or white. Although, with the saturation of the colors of the leo-spots, the top is red.
Leopard print on the skirt can be done in a different color palette... And then the selection of the color of the clothes depends on the shade of the leopard color.
CHECK SHOTS and pencil skirt.
Plaid skirt requires either shirts, or a simple top(that is, without ruffles and flounces). Cubic shape of cells, requires the same straight lines in a cut top or blouse. The cut of the men's shirt fits perfectly, as well as straight tunics with square sleeves without ruffles and tucks and soft folds (as we can see in the examples from the photo below).
And the Scottish cage may not be on the pencil skirt itself, but on the shirt, which we tucked into the skirt or tied it in a knot at the waistline. ANY pencil skirts can be worn with a plaid shirt - both simple and glamorous (in sequins or reasonable lace).

What to WEAR

To begin with, here are two examples of how gracefully and naturally you can introduce a sparkling pencil skirt into everyday wardrobe. With a simple black top, such a skirt would be lost - but with the addition of a leather belt in the form of a bow, everything is balanced.
Likewise, a simple black and white checkered shirt lends a glitzy look the necessary casual serenity and jewelry in the open collar neckline adds sophistication to a deliberately simple top ... and a thin strap lends austerity and distracts attention from glitter.
And here, for comparison, an example of how the same black shiny pencil skirt can be used FIRST in a casual set with a leather jacket and a knitted T-shirt, AND THEN in an evening dress for going out.

Black + white is a classic. The pencil skirt is also a classic. We usually use a black skirt and a white blouse. But this same black and white image can be created in a more interesting way.

And black and white stripes will look good on the outer part of clothing - and a pencil skirt can be monochromatic.
In the photo above, we see that a black and white skirt with a WHITE top creates a fresh look. And in the photo below we see that the skirt of the same colors but with a BLACK top creates a strict business silhouette. The print on the skirt can be GEOMETRIC (squares, stripes, triangles) ... or the print can be with a free pattern (for example, floral). And also in the photo above, we see that such sets can be worn with the addition of bright accents - red lipstick and blue shoes, a bright colored clutch bag.
Looks good skirt in black and white polka dots. This skirt can be worn with white and black items in your wardrobe. But it will be beautiful if you add a BRIGHT AND JUICY SHADE to this composition. It can be a handbag, a bright wide belt, or a coat.

LACE pencil skirt.
This season, lace stubbornly holds the leading position. Lace fabric has already ceased to be used only in the decoration of festive outfits. Now lace is everyday wear for walks and office. Even the strictest dress code will not mind lace when used in a business pencil skirt.
In the photo below, we can see that a lace pencil skirt can be worn with a thin knitted angora or cotton jumper.
You can also fill up v such a lace pencil skirt tunic of a straight wide cut.
Can also be worn over a pencil skirt wear a layered top from a shirt and a thin sweater- and leave all layers in a loose skirt.

With a wide knit sweater a voluminous cut, such a lace pencil skirt is also appropriate and looks good. Volume the sweater can be the same color as the skirt or be lighter than it... The main thing is that it should not be darker. That combination of a light skirt with lace and a dark sweater would look heavy. But black lace and a light bulky sweater are a more balanced set of clothes.
Also, lace together with a pencil skirt looks even if it is not present on the wash skirt, but on a top or tunic tucked into a skirt.
SKIRT-PENCIL how to wear WITH A TOP.
Straight fit pencil skirt requires a straight top. This is the most advantageous option.
But flounces, basques, ruffles and draperies ALSO look absolutely great with the straight severity of the skirt. They immediately soften the image, refine the silhouette and make the set of clothes more elegant and less strict and office-like.
Soft folds of chiffon fabrics and warm reflections of silky gloss look beautiful.

Or the top can be the most basic jersey (tight or loose). In all cases, the T-shirt is tucked into the skirt. The form-fitting tucks in perfectly flat ... and the wide tank top tucks into the slouchy skirt.
Pencil skirt WITH BLOUSE and SHIRT.
Well, this is already quite a classic. A blouse under a pencil skirt can be with a short sleeve or without it at all. She can have ruffles, tucks, bows and flounces. And in this case, jewelry should be absent or be of the simplest design.
Or the blouse can be of the simplest cut. Then jewelry should complement this simplicity, and this is exactly the case when you can add the power of its design - large pendants, powerful necklaces.
Next to the blouses, there are SHIRTS in line for the pencil skirt. With a shirt, you can wear absolutely any pencil skirt (and not just a denim one as most people think). Even with a lace skirt, you can safely wear a shirt (see photo below with a yellow skirt).
Even with a skirt in bright flowers you can wear a simple shirt (the main thing is that it should be of the same color and the color that is inherent in the print on the skirt).
And here, large jewelry will add sophistication to your look and give the shirt cut a kind of blouse decor.
The shirt can be tucked into the skirt. Or you can tie a knot at the waist.
HIGH WAIST pencil skirt

Blouses and shirts are just the kind of clothes that require a pencil skirt with an INCREASED WAIST LINE - tops, sweaters, etc. will not work here. These high skirts fit right under the chest - revealing only the top of the blouse. The decoration may be absent or not long, that is, it may be placed at the very throat and not hang down.
Pencil skirt with SWEATER or JUMPER.
Examples of how you can wear pencil skirt with sweater you have already seen in the photos above. But below are photo examples where a pencil skirt is complete with a wide, voluminous jumper made of thin knitwear.
