The phenomenon of pop music came into our lives relatively recently - in the middle of the 20th century. His homeland is considered to be the United Kingdom and the United States. Experts attribute many different directions and styles to this genre, but for most listeners, pop music is personified today by all those performers who constantly flash on television, whose songs and names are heard on the radio and in the press.

These are, first of all, such Russian stars as: Pugacheva, Kirkorov, Valeria, Orbakaite, Leontiev; their youth counterparts like Yegor Creed, Alexei Vorobyov, Sergey Lazarev, Dima Bilan; conveyor groups like Via Gra, Silver, Factories and many others. Also, the Russian audience is well acquainted with Western brands such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Rihanna.

We have already demonstrated the work of some performers, clearly demonstrating what they teach and what ideas their songs and videos promote. In this review, we propose to take a look at this area of popular culture as a whole, and evaluate the impact of pop music on society.

In 2012, the documentary program “Pops. The history of the all-Russian deceit ”, in which the producers and musicians themselves voiced information about the prices for popularity in Russia: how much it costs to rotate a song on various radio stations, how to get a music award, what business structures help various artists to get promoted. The result of the transfer was the conclusion that today it is impossible to climb the star Olympus without big finances.

Probably, no one will argue that since 2012 the situation on the stage has not changed much. And this is not a stone in the garden exclusively of our country. There is no reason to believe that, for example, in the West, show business is built differently. But we will not immediately plunge into the questions of who and how created such a system, but will answer another important question- "why?". And for this you need to understand what effect pop music has on a wide audience.

First main point- this is that the tacitly existing financial barrier to entry into show business contributes to the passage of predominantly wealthy and immoral people to the star Olympus. Why wealthy - understandable, but why immoral? Just because not everyone is ready to give bribes and, as they say, play around, but only those who are used to compromising their conscience. Is talent needed? Of course, it is desirable that it be, but it is quite possible to do without it - there are more than enough examples.

It is quite natural that immoral personalities, raised on a pedestal and presented in all their splendor, become idols for a significant part of naive viewers, especially young people, and begin to broadcast their behavior patterns and their thoughts to the population through creativity and a way of life covered in the press, thereby imposing on society their low morals.

Since genius and villainy are incompatible, the lyrics of most songs suffer from chronic stupidity, and the lack of meaning is compensated by the abundance of writhing half-naked bodies.

And now the second main point. Since the entry ticket to the stage is money, not talent, the whole process of creativity turns into a way to earn money, and not to bring something bright and beautiful into the world. In practice, this is expressed in the fact that 80 percent of all pop songs tell about the relationship between a man and a woman, and about some bizarre form of love (for performers like Yegor Creed, the figure reaches 100 percent). And the point is not only that the feeling of love is lowered to the level of instincts and saturated with vulgarity, but that such a disproportionate attention is paid to this area of human life.

This feature of pop music needs to be explained in more detail. Each person goes through many stages in his life: when he is born, studies, grows up, works, creates a family, raises children, takes care of loved ones, learns the world, and so on. In this series of events and in all the diversity of life, an important place is occupied by the search for your soulmate and the wonderful feeling of love, which we so often hear about in songs.

And this is good, this is really one of the most striking and emotionally significant events in everyone's life, but this is just one of the stages that can take 5, 10, maximum 20 percent of a person's life and thoughts, but not 80.

Should the love theme occupy such a disproportionately large place in popular culture, as pop music imposes?

In practice, the dominance of pop music with its exaggerated focus on the love sphere is one of the factors that contributes to the premature awakening of sensuality in children and adolescents. They still need to learn, grow up - and in their heads from morning to evening they run around in a circle of songs in the style of “Did I make a promise to love to that one?”

If a person remains a listener of pop music even in adulthood, then the constant stimulation of interest in this particular area leads to the emergence of a thirst for finding new relationships, the formation of a feeling of dissatisfaction with one's other half, and the absence of other interests, except how to find someone to sleep with. In fact, people who listen to pop music are programming themselves for regular breakups and eternal problems in their personal lives.

We note an important detail, the review is not about a specific song and its influence on an individual - but in general about the statistical distribution of the themes of all pop music and how it affects society. At the same time, it is not the stars themselves that play the leading role in this process, but large funds mass media, to whom the last word belongs, whose song will be aired, and whose - will remain under the cloth.

Fortunately, for the majority of the population, the Internet is gradually becoming a more important source of information than TV channels, radio and newspapers controlled by the financial oligarchy. It will take quite a bit of time, and all this pop pseudo-elite will be washed away like dirty foam. And in order to speed up this process, we urge you to actively spread the truth, help promote really good performers and get involved in the work of reviving morality in the media.

To narrow the search results, you can refine the query by specifying the fields to search on. The list of fields is presented above. For example:

You can search across multiple fields at the same time:

logical operators

The default operator is AND.
Operator AND means that the document must match all the elements in the group:

research development

Operator OR means that the document must match one of the values in the group:

study OR development

Operator NOT excludes documents containing this element:

study NOT development

Search type

When writing a query, you can specify the way in which the phrase will be searched. Four methods are supported: search with morphology, without morphology, prefix search, phrase search.
By default, the search is based on morphology.
To search without morphology, it is enough to put the "dollar" sign before the words in the phrase:

$ study $ development

To search for a prefix, you need to put an asterisk after the query:

study *

To search for a phrase, you need to enclose the query in double quotes:

" research and development "

Search by synonyms

To include synonyms of a word in the search results, put a hash mark " # " before a word or before an expression in brackets.
When applied to one word, up to three synonyms will be found for it.
When applied to a parenthesized expression, a synonym will be added to each word if one was found.
Not compatible with no-morphology, prefix, or phrase searches.

# study

grouping

Parentheses are used to group search phrases. This allows you to control the boolean logic of the request.
For example, you need to make a request: find documents whose author is Ivanov or Petrov, and the title contains the words research or development:

Approximate word search

For an approximate search, you need to put a tilde " ~ " at the end of a word in a phrase. For example:

bromine ~

The search will find words such as "bromine", "rum", "prom", etc.
You can optionally specify the maximum number of possible edits: 0, 1, or 2. For example:

bromine ~1

The default is 2 edits.

Proximity criterion

To search by proximity, you need to put a tilde " ~ " at the end of a phrase. For example, to find documents with the words research and development within 2 words, use the following query:

" research development "~2

Expression relevance

To change the relevance of individual expressions in the search, use the sign " ^ " at the end of an expression, and then indicate the level of relevance of this expression in relation to the others.
The higher the level, the more relevant the given expression.
For example, in this expression, the word "research" is four times more relevant than the word "development":

study ^4 development

By default, the level is 1. Valid values are a positive real number.

Search within an interval

To specify the interval in which the value of some field should be, you should specify the boundary values in brackets, separated by the operator TO.
A lexicographic sort will be performed.

Such a query will return results with the author starting from Ivanov and ending with Petrov, but Ivanov and Petrov will not be included in the result.
To include a value in an interval, use square brackets. Use curly braces to escape a value.

Prepared by the project "Teach Good". The information presented in the brochure answers one of the most pressing questions that concern most parents - what ideas are being introduced into the minds of children through cartoons today.

The paper provides a psychological and pedagogical examination of such popular children's cartoons as "The Simpsons", "Family Guy", "South Park", "Winx Club", "Three Heroes", "Masha and the Bear", "Shrek" and others. It is concluded that the vast majority of modern film production for children not only does not meet the simplest requirements of morality and morality, but is also directly aimed at educating children in selfishness, cruelty, aggressiveness and stupidity.

Read, download or order a brochure

Many of you will ask: why read or know something about bad cartoons? Firstly, these are not just bad cartoons, these are the cartoons that are shown today on television, in cinemas, and which are very familiar to most of our children. A sober assessment of the educational side of all these products allows us to understand where we are today, and what goals are pursued by those who create and show such cartoons. Our right actions begin with a correct assessment of the situation, and if we want to protect children from the harmful influence of the media, then we need to have a good idea of what kind of harmful influence it is and how it is implemented in practice.

The brochure was not written to say: "these cartoons are bad - don't watch them." And in order to teach parents to independently identify the educational potential of the cartoon. And the best way to learn is by doing. To do this, the brochure provides reviews of some of the most popular cartoons and answers the simple but important question "what do they teach?". The facts presented in the publication will leave no doubt that leaving a child alone in front of the TV turned on today means laying a time bomb in his mind.

Today, more and more parents are coming to the understanding that it will not be possible to protect the child completely from harmful information in the 21st century. Therefore, it is necessary not only to lay the foundations of morality and education in your children, but also to teach them to distinguish good from bad. And the best way to do this is by your own example. If you see how dangerous or vice versa a cartoon is useful, then you will be able to convey this understanding to your children.

In addition to specific examples, the brochure provides a classification of signs of harmful cartoons, which can serve as a basis for parents to decide on the benefits of a particular picture. A small theoretical course, revealing the mechanism of the impact of the cartoon on the child, and practical advice about how to protect him from harmful multi-exposure, will help to consolidate the material covered.

And the most important thing. We live in a society, and our life directly depends on the life of others. Therefore, no one will be able to fence themselves off with a wall and create their own piece of paradise, which means that one must not only master this knowledge on their own, but also share it with others, and also take part in the fight against the dominance of dangerous cartoons.

The last section of the booklet answers the question, what can each of us do to make a difference? Tell friends and acquaintances about the problem, write a letter of appeal to the authorities, conduct your own investigation, contact the leaders of schools, churches, public organizations. All this is within our power and all this we must do. If we try to hold the defense individually, we will definitely lose. It is necessary to unite efforts, to cooperate first at the level of our friends and relatives, then at the level of a district or city, creating conditions for a qualitative change in the situation.

You can also order a brochure on our website, and we will send it to you by mail. We will be glad to any of your participation in the dissemination of this information.
